The first Troop meeting of the year will start with sign-offs by adults available to test Scouts for rank advancement at 6:15. At 6:30 Scouts working on Fitness Merit Badge will have a meeting with Mr. Frechette. There will also be Scoutmaster Conferences and a Board of Review available for those wrapping up a rank. The Troop meeting will begin at 7:00.

Hello Everybody,

The meeting this week starts at 6:30, but those who are interested in helping plan the menus for the Cape Cod trip will meet at 6:00. Remember bikes and helmets, municipal lot next to fire station, 6:30 – 8:00. We are going to do our second 10 mile bike ride after the menu planning for Cape Cod.

The Troop will be departing SMS at 9 AM friday 8/13/10. Adults driving scouts need to provide Mr. F a copy of your drivers license, car registration and insurance policy.

Activities to include; Bicycling, Swimming, Fishing, Beach Combing, Fun…

Fees collected to pay for campground and some materials. Patrol meals to be planned and made onsite. Particpants should bring extra money and pack all personal gear. Packing list to come.

Joseph’s Eagle Project

This Saturday (July 24th) Joseph is leading an Eagle Project at Gilmore Pond in Jaffrey. He is seeking volunteers to build bridges and complete trail maintenance in the area. Registration for the project begins at 9AM and will run the entire day. Lunch will be provided to volunteers (noon).

Please bring shovels, mattocks, power screwdrivers, post hole diggers, work gloves, two or more water bottles, hammers, handsaws, swimsuit and towel, and hedge clippers.

Directions: From the center of Jaffrey head south on 202, turn right on the third street which is Gilmore Pond Road. Go 1.1 miles on Gilmore Pond Road and turn right on Sandy Lane, There will be signs at the project site which will be about a half mile in and it will be on your left.

Please come and help. If you can not stay for the entire day, any time given is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
